I would walk miles for her kiss
To feel the stars burst from her lips
Her triumphant freedom strikes
Sends me skyward
Shooting into the night
Into the deep black sky
And I dream
And I dream
And I dream…

I can smell the nape of her neck
Sending shocks across my bow
Taking measure on my desire
Running me aground
Lost between her pillars
Eyes closed
Sweetness survives
Draws me into infinity
Into timelessness
I take her
Where only pleasure exists
She submits
And in that moment
I know she is mine

I trembled in the stream of early morning light
absorbing elements
hearing hymns
I looked for her eyes on the horizon
I saw silhouettes of silk statues
marching on the glimmering water
reflecting life in every direction
I closed my eyes and could feel her standing near
she presses up against me
I can smell the essence of her truth
I can feel the honey on her breath
she holds me
she kisses me
and whispers
“if I tell you my eyes glimmered, they really did”

soar in the sky
clever blackbird
a lucid glide
lifted by wind
lifted by love
deep pockets thrush and blow
challenging the ascend of history
descending into the stream of present
spread your wings as far as the sky can see
feel the breath and power of the element
whispering shadows of love sent by life
circle the vast sky with your eye below
and when you see me
dive into my arms where you belong

I imagined her walking on the shore
In the fog
In the light
Sand between her toes
Cold cheeks
Crisp eyes
Thoughts of adventures
Dreams of love
And I wonder
Was there a moment of
So she could hear me whisper

Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light
To chase a feather in the wind
Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight
There moves a thread that has no end
For many hours and days that pass ever soon
The tides have caused the flame to dim
At last the arm is straight, the hand to the loom
Is this to end or just begin?

we kissed as the sky fell in
